Rosa Hosa
Once, there was a warrior named Mu. His wife, the most beautiful woman in the countryside, gave birth to Rosa after a dream of conception. Then a year later, she gave birth to Hosa. When Hosa was around five, her mother passed away because of her illness. For Rosa and Hosa’s care, Mu remarried to a woman named Huh. Even though Huh was very vicious and ill tempered, she managed to give birth the three sons. When Rosa was about to get married, her father requested a great deal of expenses to give away. Feared of losing property, Huh planned an evil scheme to kill Rosa. Huh demanded her first son Meda to drown Rosa into a lake. After Rosa’s death, Hosa dream of her sister, become paranoid, and throw her into the same lake.
The souls of Rosa and Hosa were unsatisfied by Huh’s lack of care. Therefore, the souls drowned everyone who passed by the lake. Rosa and Hosa frequently entered into Huh’s dreams, making her paranoid. One day, a gentleman named Ku observed the souls and exclaimed that the dead bodies should be taken care of. He dragged the bodies out and buried them in a sacred place. To a surprise, the sins of Huh’s murder were cleared and no one drowned in the lake afterwards. Huh restored health, believing it as a miracle, and she constantly held rituals at Rosa and Hosa’s burial to satiate their demands. Eventually, the family prospered and lived happily after.
